The mission of Stop Healthcare Violence is to educate, advocate, and prevent healthcare violence. In doing so, our plan is to provide events, presentations, seminars, and webinars to educate and advocate for prevention and safety. In support of our mission to provide education, advocacy, and prevention of healthcare violence, Stop Healthcare Violence is presenting its first annual fundraiser. This is a family-friendly, fun event, presenting vendors, demonstrations, and presenters that are concerned with health, happiness, and wellbeing. Each participant represents experienced and knowledgeable practitioners of Eastern and Western medicine. Annual Health Fair, JFK Building, Boston

Sheila Wilson will speak at the JFK Federal building in Boston on June 7,2018 for its annual health fair. Sheila will be discussing healthcare violence and the need for patient ratios. Sheila will have her book available for purchase, “The Shocking Reality of Violence in Healthcare, and What We Can Do About It.” This book has a 5-star review rating on Amazon.com.

Responding to Rising Challenges in Nursing and Healthcare

Sheila Wilson, RN, BSN, MPH, will speak on Violence Against Nurses: Current Trends and Interventions from 2:00-2:45pm

Additional conference details: Join us as we hear from Nursing experts in presenting the latest innovations and evidence-based findings related to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and practice implications regarding the opioid crisis, concussion, nurse resiliency, weight stigma, and violence against nurses. Content will include physical aspects, psychosocial impact, recent trends, current research and evidence-based findings, nursing assessment, and implications for professional practice.
