Susan Andrea, RNC, FNP
Susan is a board certified family nurse practitioner with over 23 years of experience in family practice. She provides primary care to individuals across the lifespan, including acute and chronic conditions. Ms. Andrea educates and encourages patients in nutrition and self-care techniques effective in enhancing wellness and averting chronic illness. Her research interests include holistic health, alternative therapies, women’s health, primary care prevention, as well as cosmetic facial enhancements. She holds advanced certifications in nutrition and integrative medicine including First Line Therapy and Whole Health Education, and in complimentary alternative therapies including Yoga, Yin Yoga, Reiki, Shamballa Healing, Qigong and Integrated Energy Therapy. She teaches and mentors nurse practitioners in training through the Boston College and University of Massachusetts clinical programs. Susan holds memberships in MCNP, AANP, ANCC, AHNA and YA.
Ms. Andrea obtained her nursing degree from Curry College. After medical, surgical and ICU nursing in the hospital setting, she provided home care, designed and implemented community health programs as a community health nurse in the Brockton area. She then earned her Master of Science in Community Health Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from the Connell School of Nursing at Boston College. With advanced expertise in disease prevention for both the community and the individual, Ms. Andrea has a passion for teaching patients ways to preserve wellness through their own efforts and for integrating the mind body spirit connection towards optimal health.
