Education and Outreach

In the form of individual or group consultations, speaking engagements and presentations. We will meet with you, your organization, or your group to discuss healthcare violence, and we will also conduct presentations on the topic.

Assistance and Guidance in the Process of Filing Criminal Charges

Reporting and filing criminal charges is a crucial element in decreasing the epidemic of healthcare violence.
We provide assistance and guidance to assault victims in the process of reporting and filing criminal charges. These services include:

  • Documenting and reporting the incident – a critical element of addressing healthcare violence
  • The legal process: What to expect
  • Filing criminal charges

Lobbying for Legislative Change

We lobby tirelessly toward instituting comprehensive healthcare violence prevention laws, and stiffening penalties for those convicted. Stiffer penalties are critical to curbing this epidemic, and since early 2015 we have been working with Massachusetts State Legislators in passing House Bill #1164, which would increase penalties for healthcare assaults from a misdemeanor to a felony.
